Motivation is essential in everything we do, whether we are talking about personal or professional life. It plays an important role in the lives of each of us and it is that impulse that pushes us to take action. Without motivation, be it mental, social, emotional, physical, or spiritual, we will only dream, without taking action. And if at some point we decide to act, we will either give up very quickly or we will fail in the absence of a goal for which we are willing to make additional efforts.

Motivation is built step by step. That is why it is important to know exactly what we want, and then to act concretely in that direction. We can reward ourselves for every success we achieve and thus stimulate our brain, which in this way will become dependent on that positive state and will always want more and more. Motivation is a mental program, a constantly evolving process. When we have a motivation to do something, that energy is formed that gives us courage, confidence to move forward, to fight, and not give up. When we are demotivated, the energy of failure creates depression.

Lack of motivation shows that you have lost hope, that you have allowed your failures to shake your confidence. But do not forget that all-powerful people have had failures and disappointments, but they make you stronger and increase your confidence. It is part of human nature to feel disoriented and defeated. But it is also part of our nature to rise up , to assume failure, to learn from it, and move on.

But the truth about motivation is that you can’t find it, you have to produce it. That’s why instead of waiting for the “motivation” to come to action, you better start by putting the following steps into practice:

Set a goal and prioritize that as difficult and impossible as it may seem to you

For example, if you plan to do more sports, set an hour, a day, lock in the calendar, and practice according to the schedule established from the beginning, for example, 3-4 hours a week, regardless of the sacrifice you have to do it. Try to reorganize your daily schedule, wake up earlier, finish your job on time, plan your schedule so that you always have priority no. 1 – the chosen goal. Form a discipline in your daily activity from the chosen goal and make it a habit and not a sacrifice.

Dig deep and ask yourself why you want to do what you say you want to do

Find that powerful “WHY” for which you want to do the thing you set out to do. Ask yourself why you want to do more sport, for example: maybe because this is promoted a lot around you because it’s someone else’s opinion, or maybe because you want to look better, etc. Try to find that reason that matters to you for as long as possible and most importantly to be as real as possible.

Integrate the chosen goal into your life

Once you have committed to make the chosen goal a habit, try to integrate it into your life, keep it as long as possible, and maybe even improve it. You can even set rewards for yourself over time with each success, so you can feel accomplishment in a tangible way.

So always remember what your goal is, write it down on a piece of paper, put it in plain sight, and read it every day. Motivation comes from desire, from aspiration, and is part of you. It is the fuel that sets everything in motion and pushes you further when everything seems to be going the opposite of what you want. It is the force that does not let you give up, it is ambition and a little madness.
