Holidays alone have their charm as much as those with family or friends.
Because one of my favorite hobbies is to always meet new people and different places, I have traveled alone to many places such as Tunisia, Turkey, India, France, Africa, and many other countries. But, I traveled as much accompanied, sometimes in the same places and other times I discovered other countries. From experience, I can tell you that holidays alone have something unique and I recommend you try at least once.
The first vacation I traveled alone was in Tunisia many years ago and I have continued this experience ever since.
I met many people and learned new things about life and myself. That is why I recommend trying this experience at least once in your life. You may or may not like it, but at least you tried.
Because you can’t always find someone who is available when you feel the need for a vacation, how it will be to go on a vacation alone and not giving up on your plans?
And although at first, it may seem difficult to travel alone, there are many advantages when traveling alone just with you.
- You will be much more confident in yourself – Being on your own, organizing on your own everything related to booking airplanes, hotels and even places to visit, etc., will be an experience that will test your limits. This will make you very organized and careful in organizing your holiday planning, which in the end will bring you immense satisfaction and you will be much more confident in your strengths.
- You will discover yourself better – because you will be on your own, the decisions belong to you and you will be the only one responsible for the smooth running of things in this journey, and this will help you better realize what you want to do with your life.
- The budget is only yours – depending on how much you want to spend or not, you can choose whether to visit a new place, buy something you liked, etc. You are the one who decides if he eats at the restaurant or maybe something fast from the supermarket, how many places you want to visit, how many things to buy and that depends only on you.
- You make your schedule – being alone, you can choose if for example today you want to visit more places or if you can stay until noon in a coffee shop, in a park, or anything else you feel like doing that day. You have total freedom to do what you feel without giving explanations to anyone.
- Time belongs to you– when you travel alone you don’t have to wait for anyone or someone to wait for you. It’s just you with you, and that’s great.
- You can make new friends– being alone on the trip will be much easier to interact with locals or other new people. In general, the locals are much more open to help a single person and so you will have the opportunity to make new friends or maybe make long-term friends.
- You will be in the company of your person – it is not often that we enjoy our own company, especially when we are used to always having someone by our side to socialize with. But this time spent with you will help you better strengthen your relationship with you.
- It improves our mood – I haven’t heard about too many people which don’t like traveling. And it is also natural because when we travel we get rid of stress, we are loaded with energy and ideas for new projects or other plans.
- Get out of your comfort zone – when you are alone you will have to interact more with new people, with various habits and this will make you much more extroverted.
I hope all these advantages have convinced you to plan a trip soon in which to go alone.
This does not mean that holidays with family or friends do not have their charm, but a trip alone can change your perception of yourself… in a good way of course.
