It is said that a beautiful life begins with a healthy body. And a healthy body means a healthy diet, a good night’s sleep, proper breathing, better stress management, and sports several times a week.

An old Chinese proverb says, “Time is too short, so we have to take it slower.” But to learn how to slow down and manage stress, we must first make a few changes in our lives.

First of all, we must allow ourselves to slow down, to allow ourselves to calm down, so as not to sacrifice our physical and mental health, believing that by always being in the grip we will become more and more productive.

At the same time, we need to slow down and find time to enjoy the beauties of life. But for that we need to take a break from time to time, to be grateful for everything we have, for everything around us, and especially to breathe.

But how to do this, how to find that calm and inner peace, how to be calmer and calmer and less tense and stressed, when everything around us is on fast forward mode? The answer is: Meditate. This is a simple, inexpensive technique, accessible to anyone, and does not require special equipment or a specific location.

Meditation can be practiced by anyone, no matter where they are – either on a walk in the park, when they go by bus, or you are in a waiting room, or even before a more difficult meeting.

Meditation can become a way to keep a positive perspective, which you can use for a lifetime. And those who practice meditation regularly consider it a soothing, balanced way. In recent years, meditation has been accepted by society more and more, thus no longer being considered useless.

So to make the most of life, we need to stay connected with ourselves, and for that, we need detachment and peace. When we meditate, we can set a boundary between ourselves and others, because meditation helps us see what events in our lives are like, depending on how we want them to be, important or insignificant.

There are several types of meditation, and this practice is the best remedy against stress and anxiety.

  1. An effective method of meditation can be by breathing: inhale slowly in 4 times – then hold your breath for 4 seconds – and exhale slowly in 4 times.
  2.  Another very commonly used method is that every time a negative thought comes to you, you slowly say the word “think” in your mind.

A famous Tibetan monk said that “meditation is the creation of a space in which we can expose ourselves, it is an attitude of fundamental self-acceptance, while maintaining our essential intelligence, becoming increasingly aware of the emotions and situations in our lives.”
